NDIS-Funded Recreation Activities

IDS runs a regular calendar of exciting outings and activities which provide you with fully supported community access, socialisation, connection to people and community.

Choose from a fun range of activities, this might include:

  • Fun excursions with led by qualified support workers

  • Connect new people and make new friends

  • Organise participants to attend cams across Victoria

  • IDS develops recreational activities in consultation with participants

  • Participate in regular activities such as the movies and bowling

  • Organise individual and group STA’s

  • Discuss funding with your support co-ordinator or plan manager

  • To develop an individualised recreation program

IDS Client Team

As a registered provider all IDS support workers and staff are all qualified and NDIS checked. We consult with clients and guardians to understand the needs of the participant and work together to create support services that align with their goals.

The recreation coordinator:

  • Identifies suitable disability activities and accommodation

  • Researches fun activities and places to go

  • Provides detailed information of participants and there needs

Some examples of activities include:

  • Regular movies, bowling, BBQ’s trips around the city

  • Overnight stays include one & two night camps and STA’s

  • Group trips include MCG AFL footy Day, visiting the Melbourne Show and Puffing Billy

Our Operations Manager works together with clients, Team Leaders and support workers to ensure we are providing services that are consistent, tailored, and pro-active.

IDS support staff

Our Support Workers provide help with:

Personal support such as showering, dressing, mobility and transfers, toileting, and communication aids

Domestic support such as home cleaning, meal preparation and attending appointments

Community access such as coordinating transport and building links to local community

Recreation Activities such as camps, regional day trips, city exploration and day activities
