A 9-point checklist to help you make an informed decision for yourself or a family member.
Does the provider deliver the specific types of support you need (domestic, personal, community), or only generic packages?
Are supports delivered directly where you live and in your local community, or are you expected to attend a central facility?
Are workers verified through NDIS Worker Screening Checks, certified in First Aid and CPR, and trained in disability?
Does the provider take the time to match workers to your lifestyle, communication style, cultural background, and daily habits?
When a regular worker is on leave or unwell, is there a familiar backup worker within your established group ready to step in?
Are fee structures openly published with no surprise fees, and are itemised monthly statements delivered consistently?
Are service agreements, risk assessments, and emergency management plans established in writing with your genuine collaboration?
Does the organisation treat participants as self-directed decision makers with active channels for client governance?
Is the provider upfront about their current staffing capacity and estimated commencement timeframe for your suburb?
