Client Update (24-07-20)

By July 24, 2020News

Thank you to all our clients, families and carers for your continued engagement and patience as we continuously adapt to the climate of COVID-19.

Mandatory Wearing of Masks

As cases of COVID-19 rise in Melbourne, it is important we all remain safe and well.

Wearing masks is now mandatory for all Victorians when leaving the house for one of the four essential reasons. Therefore, our Disability Support Workers are required to wear face masks when working with you.

If for any reason our staff member is not wearing a face mask when working with you, please advise us as soon as possible. You may call the office on 9340 5100 or email at support@idsa.org.au.

We provide all IDS staff access to free masks, hand sanitiser and gloves, available from our Head Office. Our staff are also reimbursed for the purchase of masks if they have not been able to make it into the office. We are currently waiting for an order of face shields to arrive, for staff who would like extra protection.

In addition to masks, gloves, and hand sanitiser, mandatory COVID Infection Control training has been completed by all our staff.

Feeling Unwell or Close Contact

If you have even very mild symptoms or are feeling unwell, please call us straight away (including after hours) on 9340 5100.

To ensure everyone is safe and well, where our staff are displaying any symptoms or have had contact with a person that has tested positive for COVID-19, we request that they get tested and stay at home until the test has returned a negative result.

Pricing Updates

On 1 July, the NDIA released changed to NDIS pricing for disability service providers. Updated pricing for IDS services are now available via our website, but we will be mailing out further information about these changes in the coming week. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please phone or email us.

A document outlining the pricing changes is available here. NDIS Pricing Changes in Easy Read Format is available here.
