Geoff Schomburgk

Board Chair

Geoff is a strategy consultant and senior business leader with over 30 years’ experience in global information technology and telecommunications (ICT) and cyber security and has 10 years of continuous service as a Board member and advisor for multiple not-for-profit organisations.

Geoff has extensive experience in business strategy (including 6 years in a corporate strategy role for a large multinational corporation), executing transformation and change programs, business development, partnerships and governance of major infrastructure projects.

Geoff joined the IDS Board in 2015 and was elected as Chair in 2020. He is also a member of the Audit and Risk Committee. Outside of IDS, Geoff is a registered business mentor with Leadership Victoria and has provided Board related advice to a range of corporate and not-for-profit organisations.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), with B.E. (Hons) and M.B.A. and specific strategy qualifications.
